Microneedling with PRP Option
Microneedling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, dermarolling, and micro channeling, is a skin rejuvenating procedure that helps repair tissue damage. This treatment is believed to be as effective as Fractional Laser Therapy, without the pain, cost and downtime.
What conditions can Microneedling treat?:
Firming and tightening of the skin
Softens appearance of acne scars
Reduces the appearance of wrinkles
Improves the appearance of stretch marks
Can be combined with other treatments for an effective anti-aging regimen.
Individual results may vary.
How Does Microneedling work?
The premise behind microneedling is to stimulate the production of new collagen by creating microscopic channels in the skin and triggering the skins natural ability to heal itself and fill in these channels with the newly created collagen.
Microneedling yields the best results when done in a series of between 4-6 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart.
Microneedling with Plasma Rich Platelets (PRP)
PRP therapy takes components from the patients own blood and infuses them into the skin through micro channels generated by the Microneedling procedure.
PRP has been used for decades for elite athletes recovering from surgery, where it is thought to help wounds heal faster. PRP may also improve the texture of your skin, by encouraging the growth of new tissue.
A great benefit of this treatment is that it doesn’t usually break down the epidermis (outer layer of skin) so there is no scarring or downtime. The body’s immune system simply goes to work repairing the perceived damage. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian use this procedure to keep their skin young and beautiful.
