BOTOX® & Dysport®

See Special Pricing on BOTOX Now – Limited Time Offer.

BOTOX® is a simple, non surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). One 10-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—and within days there’s a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, which can last up to 4 months. Results may vary. BOTOX® is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time.

Cosmetic Fillers

Facial fillers are injections which fill out wrinkled or uneven areas of the face. They include Restylane, Perlane and Juvaderm. Many people notice fine lines developing on the face in their thirties. These can often be the result of muscular activity or sagging. The lines that form on your face are areas where the body’s own collagen has thinned and broken leaving a depressed line. The wrinkles around the eye can often be due to muscle activity and may be improved with Botox. If the lines are very deep or are due to skin sagging e.g. the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds), then a filler may often soften or sometimes even eliminate the line. The filler is injected into the skin itself to plump up the depressed line in the skin.

Procedure:

During treatment, a very fine needle is used to inject the filler beneath the skin’s surface to plump or fill the depressed areas. The effects of the fillers can be seen immediately, with little redness or swelling.

Treatment Duration:

Treatments generally take about 30 minutes per session. All fillers are temporary. To achieve and maintain optimal results, the treatment needs to be repeated every five months to two years (depending on the filler).
After Care:

Slight swelling and redness may be evident after treatment, but may only last one to three days. Minor bruising may also occur for a few days. Normal activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure.

Laser hair reduction is an effective solution for the permanent reduction of unwanted facial and body hair. It can be used to remove hair from almost anywhere on the body — the upper lip, face, underarms, legs, bikini line, shoulders, chest, nipples and back.

Lipsuction

Also known as lipoplasty, liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving your body contours and proportion, and ultimately, enhancing your self-image. Despite good health and a reasonable level of fitness, some people may still have a body with disproportionate contours due to localized fat deposits. These areas may be due to family traits rather than a lack of weight control or fitness.

Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving your body contours and proportion, and ultimately, enhancing your self-image. Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite, the dimpled skin that typically appears on the thighs, hips and buttocks, or loose saggy skin.

Partial Abdominoplasty

A mini tummy tuck, or partial abdominoplasty, may be recommended for patients that are within 10% of their ideal body weight. This procedure is less invasive and can be done on an outpatient basis. While a full tummy tuck involves an incision around the navel and across the lower abdomen, a mini tummy tuck leaves the navel intact and requires a smaller incision. Liposuction is sometimes employed and the fat is removed from below the navel, tightening muscles from the navel to the pubis. If your abdominal muscles require more extensive tightening and your body weight is more than 20% above your ideal weight, your surgeon is more likely to recommend a full abdominoplasty. This frequently is performed with liposuction to obtain the best results.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

An abdominoplasty is a major surgical procedure that will remove excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and tighten the abdominal muscles. An incision is made across the lower abdomen from hipbone to hipbone. A second incision is made around the belly button. The skin and fat are separated from the abdominal wall. Excess skin and fat are then excised. The abdominal muscles are tightened by shortening them and suturing them together. A small incision creates a new opening for the belly button. It is brought out through the opening sutured to the new skin. Stretch marks and scars may be removed during surgery. Drains may be placed in the skin and removed a few days later. The drains reduce swelling by collecting excess blood and fluid. All incisions are closed.

Full Body Lift Surgery For the Removal of Excess Skin Due to Extreme Weight Loss

Body Lift Surgery is a solution for anyone who’s lost 60 to 350 pounds and is left with excess skin on their face, breasts, back, trunk and thighs. Extremely obese individuals often experience a loss in skin elasticity due to the prolonged periods of stretching from the increased volume of weight. Candidates for body lifts include patients who have undergone weight loss surgery, such as the LAP BAND procedure offered at Carolina Aesthetics and Lap Band Institute. Whether through surgery or improved nutrition and fitness habits, shedding significant amounts of weight leaves you with pounds of loose skin. The only way to tighten the skin is through surgery, which unfortunately leads to scarring. The severity of scarring depends on the amount of excess skin that is removed.
